As leader of the communication work package of “LUMAT – Implementation of Sustainable Land Use in Integrated Environmental Management of Functional Urban Areas” Interreg CE project, SiTI hosted the first day of the fourth international meeting of project partners.
The subject of meeting is the presentation and application by the 13 project partners of the “Interactive Visualization Tool – InViTo”, a decision support tool developed by SiTI and used in the LUMAT project to involve citizens in the integrated environmental management of FUAs .
The research project Trasformazioni Urbane illustrates the projects of physical improvement, social and economic support, and urban regeneration which changed the city of Turin during the two last decades.
The project T.A.P. (Territori Alpini Piemontesi) aims to generate positive impacts, creating local networks involving the populations of the Alpine areas, contributing to the revitalization of the same. The actions to achieve these aims are characterized by the ability to respond to the real needs of the territories through the ability to attract investment. It’s the coclusion of an in-depth focus on the territorial marketing in Piedmont Alps, through the promotion of brands and high quality food products.
A case study on the suitability of Mirafiori Sudneighbourhood in the town of Torino (IT). Evaluation based on the combination of several indicators. The study is part of the SINERGI project (Social Integration through Urban Growth Strategies) funded with the support of the European Union under the Programme “Europe for Citizens”
The Housing Programme of the Compagnia di San Paolo was born in November 2006 to respond with innovative projects to the housing demand of those who are in a temporary situation of social and economic vulnerability. The programme also aims to contribute to the definition of a new social culture of living.
The programme provides contributions to third parties (private social organizations, religious bodies and government agencies) and consulting services in social and in architecture field. Initiatives supported by the Compagnia di San Paolo Housing Programme since 2007 have been mapped.
In an era of strong transformations of the productive sector, the project provides public administartors and entrepreneurs with a tool capable of displaying economic, social and infrastructural data of the Metropolitan City of Turin (CMT), comparing them to the trend data of the decade 2001- 2011. The goal is to combine and make available information that would otherwise be difficult to overlap, to build new economic development strategies, taking into account the reactivity of the territories to the current economic crisis.
